On Friday, July 27th, 2007 I was selected to be a Fellow of the National Speleological Society. Fellows of the NSS are designated for their efforts over the years to further the goals of the Society through cave exploration, science, conservation, or administration. No more than 10 percent of the NSS members may be Fellows. The current percentage is quite a bit below 10%.
Both the Salon winner and the Fellow award were received at the NSS 2007 national convention at Marengo, Indiana. Both awards ceremonies were held about a 1/2 mile deep in the ground at the Marengo Warehouse & Distribution Center, one of america’s largest underground commercial storage facilities. It was once a large limestone mine/quarry

Pendleton Art Gallery Flyer
Today was the opening of the new Pendleton Art Gallery at Newport on the Levee. The new gallery is 8000 sq feet and features over 100 artists from the 3 Pendleton Art Centers. I have quite a few framed and matted prints available at the gallery. Tabby also has an assortment of her custom jewelry. The gallery is located on the Plaza Level across from Brios, between Café Istanbul and Southview restaurants.

Art Comes Alive 2007 has an online voting portion.
They went through and took quick digital photo of all of the pieces that are in the show and are allowing you to e-mail them with your favorite for the online viewers’s choice award.

Francisco’s Farm was a lot of fun. We got to hang out and meet other artist’s, and talk about their work and art shows. The show was very well done, and well organized. We look forward to doing it again.
We purchased a puzzle box from the Merchants of Mirth, Jeff and Lynn Vollmer for father’s day. They have a lot of really cool, and complicated puzzle boxes, check them out at local art shows.
